Arden’s Fiona Garvey Fights for Charity.
As an integral part of Arden’s customer support team Fiona Garvey spends her days helping other people. So when she told us she was jumping in a cage to fight an unknown competitor, all in the name of charity – we weren’t that surprised.
After 8 weeks of full-on training, the date has finally arrived. We would like to wish Fiona all the best for this weekend and congratulate her on raising money for this great cause.
Here’s her story.
Hi, I’m Fiona and with no physical training since PE at school I’m going to learn Mixed Martial Arts and fight in a cage for charity. For tickets please speak with me directly. This page is for donations only.
Make A Wish are amazing, they help terminally ill children feel better and recover by arranging for them to go out, achieve a goal, meet someone special, or see something amazing.
To raise money for them I will be getting my butt kicked in training for 8 weeks, culminating in a cage fight between me and a fellow fundraiser. The fight is on the 20th November at the Birmingham Centennial Centre, doors open 4pm and fights starting 5pm.
This is a massive step out of my comfort zone as I have never been in a fight in my life. It’s scary and my bruises are amazing, but it’s great fun and it’s for a great cause.
