Winner of the 2015 Birmingham Law Society award for ‘Law Firm of the Year’, Averta is a leading solicitors’ employment law practice with offices in Birmingham and London.

Based on the edge of Warwickshire on picturesque converted farmland, Averta Law has been working with Arden Group to manage their communication systems for over ten years.

Since the relationship began, Averta had been using an ISDN connection for their telephony. However, with maintenance contracts coming to an end, ageing equipment becoming increasingly difficult to maintain and BT announcing the future termination of ISDN, Arden Group were tasked with finding a modern-day alternative.

In addition to replacing an out of date system, the proposed solution needed to support the overall business requirements of the law firm such as remote and flexible working, company growth and future IP strategy

Business Requirements:

• A modern-day alternative to an outdated ISDN system

• A solution that supports flexible working

• A solution that enables business growth

The business park at which Averta are based recently benefitted from an upgrade to their Internet bandwidth, which provided the perfect foundation for a state of the art hosted telephony system.

The solution would allow Averta to get their foot into the IP arena and provide a robust, futureproof solution upon which they could build their unified communications model.

• Minimum downtime

• A firm basis upon which to build a unified communications strategy

• Enhanced communication across locations and devices

Arden Group’s experience in upgrading traditional telephony systems to the latest converged IP solutions meant that the transition remained hassle-free for Averta Law. The process provided a seamless handover from the legacy telephony to the new solution, resulting in no significant disruption for the practice.

The new hosted solution has not only provided a much-needed upgrade to an out of date system; it has provided Averta with a firm basis upon which they can build they unified communications. Enabling the partners to connect multiple devices, communicate from multiple locations and scale their connections – whenever required and at ease.
